Lounging on West Beach at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.

Me, margarita in hand, lounging on West Beach (the full service beach at the resort).

I haven’t taken a true beach vacation in I don’t know how long. After all of our touring and adventuring, we spent our last couple of days lounging in Dorado Beach on the Ritz-Carlton Reserves pristine and expansive property¬†(thanks to our lodging through Inspirato, which is located on the Ritz-Carlton’s grounds).

We also found some time to splash around at the resort’s water park. The design of the park was spectacular – looking like old ruins – and we got there early enough to enjoy nearly-private access to all of the park’s attractions, including two massive water slides!

We spent some time before dinner wandering the stunning grounds of the resort.

The Positivo Sand Bar beckoned us from afar. Architecturally striking, this restaurant and bar was as casual as it was chic. Everything we ate was rich in flavor, with some incredible savory-sweet sushi and fresh seafood combinations that had me wishing I had room in my belly for more!

Some colorful and unbelievably flavorful dishes at the Positivo Sand Bar.

And before we knew it, it was time to head back to the States. I will forever cherish our memories from this trip and the people we shared it with. I hope to be back one day to experience more of this incredible island and resort!
